The Village election is Tuesday, March 15. Our candidates, Leo Wiegman for Mayor and Ian Murtaugh and Casey Raskob for Trustee, are committed to bringing the village together to plan for Croton’s future by reducing taxes while pursuing the things village government can do to improve our quality of life.

Leo and the Democratic Board cut taxes two years in a row, following four years of tax increases. Democrats bring a “CAN DO” perspective to running the village. Democrats brought Croton Landing and the train station parking lots. Democrats brought the farmers market and the community garden. Democrats will continue to keep spending flat in a difficult economy, without cutting services. Next up will be improvements for traffic flow and pedestrian safety on Croton Point Ave at the Rte 9 off ramps and the train station entry. There will a new program to assist homeowners to make their homes more energy efficient. And the work to cure the Brown Water problem some residents have to suffer will continue.

We hope you will join us at the annual Gourmet Soup Supper. This is a great opportunity for visiting with neighbors and enjoying a wide variety of tasty homemade soups and desserts. Many elected officials from the state, federal and local level attend this event. It is also a great opportunity for some face to face time with your elected officials.
